Emeralda Marsh WMA

We went to Emeralda Marsh WMA to look for a pair of Great Horned Owls that live in the area. While they were a no show, we did see the male Vermillion Flycatcher again along with a male Snail Kite and a few others…

The last time we were here, it was very foggy and there were tons of duck hunters. Today was sunny, hot and no hunters so it was a more relaxing day. Even though the owls didn’t show up for us, we still had fun with some other birding friends that we met up with. Definitely a great little spot for birding!
