Orlando Wetlands

I wasn’t sure I was going to Orlando Wetlands until I woke up this morning. I’m glad I did! Even though the morning started off chilly (47 degrees) it warmed up as the morning went on. The birds weren’t phased by the cooler weather and were out and about. The only thing there wasn’t a lot of were gators. At least until a giant one crossed the road near by!

I saw three Bald Eagles fly in from a distance. I made it closer when they really started to fly about

Not the best Eagle picture, but not bad for shooting through trees to this nest about 600 feet into the woods

Orlando Wetlands, while not the “secret” place that it used to be is still a great, quiet place to see a lot of wildlife. In the coming month or two the Herons, Egrets and Spoonbills will be nesting so it will get even more active.
