Peaceful Waters Nature Walk

While down in South Florida last weekend we discovered Peaceful Waters Nature Walk in Wellington. It’s mostly a boardwalk through a preserve next to a huge sports complex. It is a peaceful area that was fun to go through and watch the Green Herons among some other birds…

A lone Limpkin was standing just off the trail as we were heading out

 

There are a lot of these smaller nature areas in the middle of all of the development going on. While its difficult to watch a lot of nature being eliminated for growth, it is good to see that counties are requiring these preserves to be maintained so that we have some balance between the two.
