Flamingos at Fort Desoto

We went back to Fort Desoto today to see if we could find the Flamingos that have been in the area the past few days. The return trip paid off! There was one still there in a back pond. Very cool to see an uncommon bird for the area out in the wild.

That was so cool! We got there as the park opened at 7am. The first few photographers started following the Flamingo down the beach pushing it farther and farther away from everyone else being responsible, keeping our distance. Once it flew into the back pond, it was harder for people to get too close. This made for a much better experience for everyone. Never forget that we’re all guests in the wildlife’s house.
