Joe Overstreet Road

It was a Cara Cara sort of day at Joe Overstreet Road today. The road heading in towards the lake was pretty quiet, but once we got to the lake the action started. There were a lot of Bald Eagles calling from the trees on the far side of the fields. Eventually they flew out really high over the lake. Not a good photo opportunity, but awesome to see them all out soaring. However, the stars today were the Cara Caras. There was a family jumping from fence post to fence post and then running around on the ground. There were even some in a sod field on the way out off Canoe Creek Rd.

Joe Overstreet Road is always a treat that not many people either know about or go to visit. Every day it’s something different. Just keep your eyes pealed and nature will not disappoint!
