Merritt Island NWR

The birding is starting to heat up. There was more today at Merritt Island than the last few times I was there. The Reddish Egret was at the entrance to Black Point, Green Herons were on Wild Birds Unlimited and Bald Eagles on Bairs Cove. There’s a few more that you’ll see down below. Also mixed in here is a Barred Owl near Daytona.

Even though it’s still hot, the birds that migrate are definitely starting to return. Every week it’ll be getting better and better. Can’t wait to get out there again soon!
