Fort Desoto

After the storm went through earlier this week, we started hearing stories of Flamingos showing up at Fort Desoto. We had to go check it out since they’re not native to that part of Florida. As luck would have it, they got scared off by the crowd of people that showed up to see them and flew to a secluded lagoon that was difficult to get to. We missed out on seeing them this time. The day was filled with quite a few other birds that made the trip worth it…

Despite missing out on the Flamingos, we saw some cool birds and got to observe their behaviors. We’ll try again to see Flamingos in a few days.
