Merritt Island NWR

It was slow at Merritt Island NWR today, but the weather was perfect! We started out on Black Point then made our way to Bair’s Cove and then to Biolab.

Female Blue Winged Teal in flight.

Palm Warbler hopping in the grass looking for bugs.

Snowy Egret on Wild Birds trail.

Red Tailed Hawk Light Morph.

Female Northern Harrier that was WAY far out

Pig Frog

Osprey

Osprey about to hit the water. It went behind some mangroves as it dove. The camera stayed locked on the whole way in.

Not a whole lot today, but it was a great day to be out in nature.
